Nel post di oggi vorrei riprendere un argomento che abbiamo già studiato insieme, esattamente un anno fa.
In today’s post I would like to go back to a topic we studied together one year ago, to be precise.
Sto parlando della Pasqua!
I’m talking about Easter!
In Italia è una festività molto importante, in quanto si festeggia la resurrezione di Gesù.
In Italy it is a very important festivity because the resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated.
Ovviamente è importante per le persone che sono cristiane praticanti, cioè che credono e vanno in chiesa. In generale le attività commerciali restano chiuse la domenica di Pasqua, rimangono aperti solo alcuni ristoranti.
Obviously, it is important for people who are practising Christians, that is people who believe and go to church. Generally, businesses are closed on Easter’s Sunday, just some restaurants are open.
Quest’anno io e la mia famiglia trascorreremo la Pasqua nelle Marche, a casa dei miei nonni, e per il pranzo mangeremo in un ristorante.
This year my family and I are going to spend Easter in Le Marche region, at my grandparents’ house, and we are going to eat at a restaurant for lunch.
Il ristorante in cui mangeremo offre un menù fisso, molto comune nei ristoranti quando si tratta di festività importanti come il Natale, la Pasqua, eccetera. I ristoranti fanno i menù fissi perché a causa delle tante prenotazioni non riuscirebbero a cucinare tanti diversi piatti alla volta.
The restaurant where we are going to eat offers a set menu, which is very frequent in restaurants when it is an important festivity such as Christmas, Easter, etc. They do so because they would not be able to cope with many different orders at a time, given the amount of people who have booked for lunch or dinner.

Alla nostra casa abbiamo sempre una cercata della uova nascosta nel giardino per entrambi i bambini e gli adulti. La persona che trova di più vince un piccolo regalo. Tutto è per il nostro divertimento. Corriamo come uomini pazzi guardando per di più.

Do you know how to tell when Easter will be? Why is it always so different from year to year.
Easter is always the first Sunday, after the first full moon, after the spring equinox.
This year they all came very close together. The equinox was March 20, the full moon was April 4, and Easter was April 5.
